Sudoku Help - Square Allocation details

Whenever you set the contents of a square in a Sudoku puzzle the program tracks which square was allocated so you can easily change your mind.

To activate this screen you select View | Allocations from the menu or click on 'Allocations' when the side panel is displayed.

The screen details identifies the square that has been allocated and its current allocation together with how long it took to make the choice. The allocation notes can optionally be printed out with the puzzle. Any Sudoku squares that have notes are indicated with a star in the first column of the list so you can quickly look back through the squares that need special attention. The note you added is listed in the last column.

The list also includes allocation of tentative possibilities and impossibilities as well as square coloring - in fact any change you made - and these can all be easily undone/redone.

If you click on an entry in the list, the square will be highlighted in the grid - this makes it very useful for working back over the squares previously allocated.
